Preserved Plants Flowers and Mosses

Stabilization (Preservation) is an artificial process of slowing down the drying of plants, in which the natural liquid in the plant is replaced by a stabilizing solution.

  • This method was discovered in the 80s, is annually improved and is actively used today.
  • After stabilization, absolutely natural plants retain their beauty and elasticity for several years.

For example, stabilized (preserved) flowers last for an average of 3 to 5 years, stabilized (preserved) plants last for 10-15 years, and stabilized (preserved) mosses and lichens last for 20 or more years.

Stabilized (preserved) mosses and plants are an excellent material for creating green walls of interiors, create an atmosphere of comfort and coziness and have significant advantages over green walls made of natural or artificial plants :

  • They do not require any maintenance
  • Do not need lighting and watering
  • The absence of a watering system not only simplifies the complexity and fragility of the entire system, which needs maintenance, but also eliminates the excess humidity of the room, which can provoke the appearance of fungi and unpleasant odors
  • The absence of the need for lighting makes them absolutely universal for placement even in the darkest corners of the interior
  • Unlike living plants, which are in constant dynamics, and which constantly wither or outgrow, they are much more persistent and stable
  • They do not attract dust, as they are completely natural and do not create static electricity that attracts dust, unlike artificial plants
  • They are not allergenic and are absolutely harmless to both children and animals

To extend lifetime of service preserved greenery, there are several RULES OF TECHNICAL EXPLOITATION to know :

  • Preserved greenery is for interior use only.
    • Use of preserved plants outside can severely damage them.
  • They should be kept (or used) at the normal ambient temperature 15-25 degrees Celsius
    • Limits of temperatures that should imperetevely be respected 5-35 degrees Celsius after which plants can lose all their capacities
  • Humidity level should also correspond to normal human ambience 40-60%
  • Keep them preferably away from direct solar light or sources of heat such as halogen lamps, radiators, air conditioning and others
    • Heat and low humidity (less than 30%) causes premature drying of plants, fading and loose of their capacities
  • Avoid direct exposure to water including appearance of of condensate due to high humidity (above 70%)
    • Direct contact with water may cause reaction with plant dyes and discolor them
